Job Opportunity: Stores Person

Sharp Aviation Maintenance are seeking applications from experienced Stores and/or Logistics persons to join our CASA Approved Maintenance Organisation located at Launceston Airport, Tasmania.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for full-time staff to support Sharp Airlines Operations at our Launceston base.

This role will support the engineering department by ensuring availability of parts and consumables required for the ongoing maintenance of the company’s fleet of aircrafts. The position will also maintain inventory records for all serviceable and non-serviceable parts using the Company’s computer-based inventory system. 

Main duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Procurement of parts as required, including:
    • Raising purchase orders
    • Ensuring incoming parts conform to regulatory requirements
    • Correct receipt and tracking of all incoming parts
  • Processing of repair orders, including:
    • The packing and dispatching of all repair items
    • Tracking the repair process to ensure all quotes are approved and items are returned in a timely manner
  • Maintaining accurate records of unserviceable stock, including the location and status of all parts
  • Provide system maintenance functions to ensure that stock integrity is maintained, including:
    • Updating the inventory system to reflect minimum and maximum stock levels
    • Maintaining accurate stock locations
    • Updating alternative part numbers when identified
  • Perform stocktake functions to agreed schedule
  • Processing of all inbound and outbound freight movements
  • Maintain stock levels in remote stores as required
  • Forklift Licence desirable

Job Opportunity: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

 Sharp Aviation Maintenance are seeking applications from experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and/or aircraft trained persons to join our CASA Approved Maintenance Organisation located at Launceston Airport, Tasmania.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for full-time staff to meet the varying Line and Base maintenance requirements associated with the Sharp Airlines Operation. Knowledge and experience on turbine aircraft would be beneficial; in particular the Metroliner SA227 aircraft and / or TPE 331 engine.

This role will work within the engineering department by ensuring the on-going maintenance of the company’s fleet of aircrafts. The position will also work to maintain aircraft components in approved workshops to meet CASA and Company standards.

Main duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • Maintenance of components in approved workshops as required, ensuring parts conform to regulatory requirements
  • Be engaged in all aspects of Base and Line maintenance, working under the direction of LAMEs and supervisors in a timely manner
  • Maintaining accurate records of work, carried out in accordance with the Company’s procedures and CASA requirements
  • Perform duties as required, including:
    • Equipment maintenance and inspections
    • Control of calibrated tools
    • Safety reporting
    • Hangar organisation
    • Required training to support the Company’s aircraft maintenance activities
  • Work as part of a small and dynamic team
  • Accurately book out spare parts for jobs relating to component and aircraft maintenance
  • Tow and move aircraft within the hangar and surrounds 

Requirements
